Each year the Alliance awards $2,500 in scholarships to nursing students. Letters are sent to all nursing schools in the greater Sacramento area in January listing the criteria for selecting recipients. Each school submits the student that best meets the criteria listed below.

• The student is in good standing and is nominated by the nursing faculty.
• The student has completed at least two semesters or three quarters in the program with a GPA of 3.0 or better, and is committed to their field of endeavor.
• The student has demonstrated leadership qualities, and is compassionate and clinically competent.
